After popularizing sales of comfortable in-soles in the local market, consumers are dissatisfied with in-soles which “superficially overcomes problems”. Other than soothing pain, consumers searched for ways and means to overcome problems related to their feet. Wang Sheng Cong who has been in the MyFeet business for years decided to let more people know of this rectification in-soles.

MyFeet Introduction (recover natural foot)

As early as 2006, Sheng Cong came to know of foot-care products in Hong Kong and after observing that sales of these comfortable in-soles was hot, he decided to partner with his friends. However question arose after sometime, since there are shoes, why would anyone purchase in-soles? Are these problems caused by shoes or are they caused by the feet?

During the course of business, he came across the principle of bio-dynamics from information he obtained from abroad and this allowed him to further understand soles used for rectification. After trying them on for half a year, knee problems improved and hence, he decided to venture into the rectification insole business and set up GoodFeet. He imported the digital scanning computer from Korea to analyze sales of customers and produce rectification insoles for them.

Upon entering GoodFeet’s specialized shop, one would notice the various deformed feet pictures on its floor which include high arch, flat arch, bow legs, knock knees and others. Is it true that there are so many problems faced by modern man’s feet?

Zhang Yu Xuan, the coordinator at GoodFeet, said, people in ancient days depended on their feet and arches to step on uneven surfaces but today, we step on flat and smooth surfaces and this results in the loss of stimulation of the soles. Furthermore, living habits too affect us tremendously. Calcium in mother’s milk is most easily absorbed and this is important to the skeletal system. However, babies today are seldom fed mother’s milk and parents like to place babies into baby walkers prematurely. This resulted in children dragging their feet while walking and because of the lack of strong muscles and bones as well as imbalance in force, it increases the occurrence of flat feet.

He said Malaysian parents usually purchased shoes which are larger for their children so that they can be worn for longer periods. Due to excessive empty space, these shoes lack support. “The same happens to adults. If you wear size 6 shoes and you are given size 8 shoes, you will have difficulties walking.”

From the bio-dynamics point of view, if such conditions occur, it is impossible to “balance your body” no matter how much exercise you carry out. Yu Xuan gave an example, for instance the body of a pregnant woman would roll forward but instincts make her bend backwards. This same principle applies to children carrying bags which are excessively heavy and if this condition occurs frequently, it will cause muscle ache and pressure.

If we compare the human body to a building, when the foundation (both feet) are stable, the building (body) will not fall easily. On the contrary, when both feet are unable to balance, then the knee joint and backbone are used to take over such function and over-stressed parts will become painful. It can thus be seen that it is of utmost importance to prevent feet problems.
